Ayan Ghosh Dastidar
About
Ayan Ghosh Dastidar is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Clark University. His research interests lie in the areas of Advertising, Healthcare Marketing, Place Marketing, Digital & Social Media Marketing, and Public Policy. He uses quantitative methods on primary and secondary data to study different spillover effects of marketing interventions and understand the public policy implications of different marketing actions. His research has been published in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Research, and the Handbook of Customer Centricity. Ayan’s teaching interests include Marketing Research and Analytics.
Ayan earned his Ph.D. from Georgia State University where he received the Clyde Kitchens/Thoben Elrod/Delta Sigma Pi Doctoral Fellow Research Grant and the GTA Teaching Excellence award. He is also the recipient of the Best Doctoral Fellow Research Proposal award at the Marketing Strategy Consortium 2020 and was a finalist with an honorable mention for the John A. Howard/ AMA Doctoral Dissertation Award competition (2022). He holds a Master’s in Applied Statistics & Informatics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and a Bachelor’s in Statistics from St. Xavier’s College (Kolkata). Before joining academia, Ayan worked as a Data Science professional for the Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) for 5 years.
