Jihye Jung

About

Jihye Jung is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Carlos Alvarez College of Business, the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Her research interests center around understanding consumer preferences and choices in various domains, such as education, financial decisions, and online platforms, with a focus on consumers’ ideological and cultural differences, as well as social influence. Her research has been published in the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, and Journal of Retailing. 
Before pursuing an academic career, she worked as a business consultant and marketing researcher at the LG Economic Research Institute for ten years. During this time, she was involved in developing strategic plans for various industries, encompassing both consumer and B2B products and services. Jihye received her doctorate in marketing from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University.
