Kristopher Keller
About
Kristopher is an Assistant Professor at the Kenan-Flagler Business School. His research falls into two streams: (i) private labels, particularly their transition into true consumer-packaged goods brands, and (ii) responsible retailing, which looks at initiatives in the retailing industry and its implications for society such as healthier shopping habits (reducing sugar content, soda taxes) or environmental effects (plastic bottle deposits, bans of paper store flyers). His work has been published in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, and Journal of Retailing and he has received several awards, including the 2021 Emerging Scholar Award from AMA’s Retail and Pricing SIG. He’s a passionate teacher and has received the 2021 Weatherspoon Award for Teaching Excellence and several All-Star MBA teaching awards. He received his PhD from Tilburg University in the Netherlands. In an attempt to lighten the mood, he tries to spice up lectures with jokes, though his German sense of humor might be an acquired taste, much like sauerkraut.
