Melissa Baucum
About
Melissa is a fourth-year marketing Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Tennessee’s Haslam College of Business. She partners with a variety of organizations to conduct marketing strategy research on topics in the frontline employee and customer management domains. Since joining the doctoral program, she has been recognized for research (AMA’s OFR Young Scholar Competition Award 2023; AMA’s Strategy SIG Student Research Award 2023) and teaching (finalist for Haslam Outstanding Doctoral Student Teacher) excellence. Prior to pursuing a Ph.D., Melissa worked as an insights analyst for Hulu (under The Walt Disney Company) and as a research manager for a global marketing services agency. She holds a B.A. in Integrated Marketing from Pepperdine University.
