Marketing Area Alumni Researchers Win Prestigious IJRM Best Paper Award 2022

Four researchers who were previously members of the Marketing Area of the University of Cologne won the prestigious Best Paper Award by the International Journal of Research in Marketing (IJRM).

Four researchers who were previously members of the Marketing Area of the University of Cologne won the prestigious Best Paper Award by the International Journal of Research in Marketing (IJRM), the official publication of the European Marketing Academy. Zeynep Karagür (still associated with the area as a doctoral student), Jan-Michael Becker (now associate professor of Marketing at BI Oslo), Kristina Klein (now professor of marketing at the University of Bremen) and Alexander Edeling (now associate professor of marketing at KU Leuven) received the award for their paper "How, why, and when disclosure type matters for influencer marketing", which was published in IJRM in the second issue of the year 2022. The paper investigates how different types of influencer marketing disclosure affect consumer behavior and develops meaningful implications for public policy makers, brands and content creators.
